Speaker: Susan Deacon Vice-Principal External Engagement (The University of Edinburgh)
With over 30 years experience in both the study and practice of leadership and change, Susan Deacon offers a range of insights and perspectives into effective leadership in a fast moving, complex and interconnected world. A former Member of the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government Minister, she has also worked at a senior level across the private, public and third sectors and at the interface between academia, business and politics. Susan is Assistant Principal External Relations and a Professorial Fellow of the University of Edinburgh; a Board member of several companies and charities and is Chair of the Institute of Directors in Scotland. Her early career was in organisational development and change management in both the private and public sectors and in higher education.
