STRONG WOMEN, STRONG COMMUNITIES
LEADERSHIP TRAINING COURSE FOR WOMEN
This FREE brand-new course offers women the opportunity to become champions and become active citizens in supporting their various communities. The course offers women the opportunity to put into practice their new-found skills and identify any further support needed for their personal development, to enable them to take up a decision-making role. A particular focus of the course is to support a community coordinated and inclusive response to safeguarding and protecting families and children.
Course components will include:
- Leadership and skills - conflict management, communication skills, decision making, critical thinking, delegating, influencing and negotiating,
- Assertiveness training to increase confidence and resilience
- Action planning – personal development action plans
- Opportunity to be involved in video conferencing internationally with women groups who are also addressing issues of concern to their communities
Course Delivered by:
Viv Brosnahan and Balbir Sohal, both with experienced of working with diverse groups in the voluntary and statutory sector.
Course Dates;
