This workshop is designed to help leaders and practitioners to be ever ready for inspection. You can do a great deal to plan for a successful inspection; the first thing is – don’t panic.
Formerly Her Majesty's Inspector at Ofsted, Deborah Udakis established her early years consultancy in May 2017. She have over 20 years experience as an inspector, and almost 40 years of professional involvement in the early years field. She has acquired significant expertise, experience and knowledge. As an Early Years specialist, she inspires confidence and delivers high quality results.
Deborah will take you through the whole process of inspection including; unannounced inspections, taking ‘the call’, hosting and negotiating the inspection timetable, making your expectations clear to the inspector, establishing a safeguarding culture, taking charge of the Learning Walk, agreeing the frequency of feedback, joint observations, making your voice heard, and how to address any concerns that arise – including those about the inspectors conduct.
The aims of the workshop is to help you become a more confident leader and to host a successful inspection. Through greater knowledge of the inspection process, inspection handbook and conduct expected of inspectors, leaders are better able to prepare for the inspection, and deal with concerns should they arise.
