Event Overview:
These three half day sessions are designed for Registered Care Home Managers to build the capability, confidence and capacity needed for leading and driving safety and quality within a care home setting. It will create an opportunity for Care Home Managers to develop increased knowledge and skills for their own development in leading safety, to understand and apply core principles of quality improvement and to network with peers.
Additional learning sets of up to 1 hour per week will be available for small, self-selecting groups of attendees who are willing to work together and coordinate these at their local organisations.
Who is this event aimed at?
This event is aimed at Registered Care Home Managers interested in improving the safety and quality in care homes. This programme is an ongoing programme of 3 sessions and so attendence to each is reccomended:
Day One:
LACE Conference Centre, Liverpool - 28 March 2018
Day Two:
Birchwood Park Conference Centre, Birchwood - 10 April 2018
Day Three:
Haydock Park Race Course, Haydock - 19 April 2018
What will attendees learn at this event / workshop?

To develop tools and techniques to support leadership skills for quality and safety.

To understand and apply the principles of quality improvement using the model for improvement.

To identify measures and information that can support the evidence for improvement

To align the work and learning from this programme into the needs of the care home environment, including outcomes for residents, staff and for monitoring requirements e.g. CQC/CCG)

All events will open with registration from 8am to begin at 8:30am.

Event Conditions:
- Events are free to all Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA) member organisations. In some cases, places can be paid for by non-members. - Paid places on AQuA events are non-refundable however can be transferred. If you are no longer able to attend and wish to transfer your place, please contact the team on the details above.
- Final event arrangements are confirmed with the venue up to two weeks before the event. In order to ensure that places are not wasted please let us know at your earliest convenience if you are no longer able to attend. Many of our events operate waiting lists so this will enable us to reallocate your place to someone else on the list.
- We take photographs and occasionally video/live stream at our events. We use these pictures and video on our website and in other media such as Twitter and news publications. If you do not want to be photographed or filmed please let a member of the AQuA team know at the event.
- By signing up for an AQuA event, we will add your contact details to our CRM system and let you know about future events, as well as send you our fortnightly e-bulletin. If you do not want to receive information from us, please let us know by sending us an email to AQuA@srft.nhs.uk and we will remove your name from our mailing list.
- Supporting resources, presentations and other materials from the event will be made available on our website after the event for 30 days.
