Leading from the Front | Performance Series | Dublin
Wed 10 May 2017, 07:30 – 09:00 IST
In today’s business environments of constant change and transformation, leading from the front is key to providing the clarity and vision that employees need in order to drive the business forward.
We have enlisted the help of Ailis McSweeny & Ann O'Mahony to share their own experiences of leading from the front in their respective fields. This exclusive event will take place in the Morgan McKinley office in Dublin; Burlington Road (10th May). The event will kick off at 7:30 am with light refreshments and a networking opportunity, and will conclude by 9:00 am.
Ailís McSweeney is Director of All-Things at PepTalk Wellbeing. PepTalk’s mission is to help employers proactively support employees drive meaningful improvements in their wellbeing through three key pillars; fitness, nutrition and mindset.
Ailís is a former Irish sprinter who holds the Irish 100m record since 2010, running 11.40s to break a record that had stood for 32 years. She represented Ireland internationally throughout her career, reaching semi-final stages at European Championships, World Indoor Championships, European Indoor Championships and winning multiple medals at World Student Games.
Prior to moving to PepTalk, Ailís practised as a solicitor with A&L Goodbody. She is also a director of Paralympics Ireland and Just Sport Ireland (Ireland’s sports arbitration and mediation body) and regularly appears as an analyst for athletics on RTÉ Sport.
Our second speaker; Ann O'Mahony, is Operations Director for Morgan McKinley in Dublin. She joined the company in 2000 when a boutique recruitment consultancy which she owned was acquired by the Group. Ann is part of the Senior leadership team in Ireland and has played a key role in the development and strategic growth of the organisation spanning over 16 years.
During this time the company has grown from a 65 employee business based in Ireland to a global business with in excess of 700 employees. She has played a vital role in executing the strategy and vision for the business while leading from the front.
Ann has always had an avid interest in physical fitness which she believes feeds strongly into the traits needed to lead teams to success - mental fitness, resilience and the ability to think clearly and calmly in any situation.
