Event description

Description

Our second development event builds on the networks ambition to focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and to build strong working relationships with the other staff networks at TUoS.

The workshop will focus on Compassionate Leadership, a priority which emerged from the Annual General Meeting, in June this year, as something that needs to be in place if Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are to become a reality.

The session will be delivered by Auriel Majumdar. Auriel is a Creative Business Coach and Consultant. After twenty years working at a senior level in the national voluntary sector and local authorities, Auriel now runs her own business working with a diverse set of organisations and individuals who want to transform and grow. Auriel specialises in the use of deep listening and creative techniques in her coaching and consultancy.

Auriel is a Visiting Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University and is a part of the academic team teaching the Masters in Coaching and Mentoring. She is also part of the delivery team for the University of Sheffield leadership development programme, Sheffield Leader.

The outcomes of the workshop:

  • The idea of Compassionate Leadership is fully explored so that network members are clear about what it means in the context of UoS;

  • Current good practice is identified so that the network has solid examples of Compassionate Leadership in practice upon which to build;

  • Network members feel empowered and inspired to influence those around them so that Compassionate Leadership flourishes as a way of working at UoS;

  • Any other outcomes identified by Women@TUoS.

A light lunch will be provided over the course of the workshop.
