The tutors

Claire Heald is Director of School Improvement at Inspiration Trust and the Executive Principal of Jane Austen College, a free school specialising in English, which she opened in 2014. A highly experienced educational leader, Claire has taught English for 15 years and served as a successful Head of English. Her work on English, literacy, curriculum, and school improvement encompasses both primary and secondary phases. She is a speaker and expert on English, leadership, curriculum, raising achievement, free schools, and school improvement.
