Why should you attend?
School and trust leaders have a huge influence on a school’s climate and culture.
Our conference this year focuses in on how leaders can create conditions that inspire agency, professional growth and joy in our teachers, so that they stay in the profession and thrive! We’d love you to join us.
Keynote speaker Jaz Ampaw-Farr will start the day off with a bang by reminding us to connect to our purpose and remember the very real difference we make as educators - and human beings - to the lives of the children we work with.
We’ll get a first, exclusive look at the findings of TDT’s Teacher Development: The Landscape in 2025 report which gives us valuable insight into what CPD currently looks like in schools and how much difference informed leadership of staff development can make.
Emma Hubball, Deputy Director of Developing Teachers and Leaders at the DfE, will share some early findings from the NPQ review, giving delegates a chance to offer their views and inform policy thinking. We’ll also be joined by the expert panel behind our ongoing exploration into what makes the teaching of teachers distinct, and why it matters.
The afternoon is all about how we learn from the evidence and grapple with the practicalities of create thriving cultures.
Christian van Nieuwerburgh will help us tap into the power of truly effective coaching. We will explore what leaders can do to create schools where teachers feel like they belong and are valued, and hear from trust leaders about the challenges and opportunities in developing approaches to staff development in practice.
