Event description

Description

We are delighted to announce we will be holding our very first Construction and Infrastructure Special Interest Group (SIG) event on 28 September in London.

The first meeting will focus on Lean, a set of powerful tools and techniques that helps organisations improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction. The meeting aims to:

  • Help you understand how and why Lean is being deployed across a broad range of organisations.
  • The role Lean plays in strategy and planning.
  • How Lean initiatives can be improved and how other organisations can use Lean methodologies to enhance business performance.

This SIG, one of several others we host, will focus on supporting our members and non-members across construction and infrastructure sectors to share good practice and network with other like-minded individuals.

We currently have two confirmed speakers for this event, Stuart Willis from BAM Nuttall and Jamie Bowen from Chevron Traffic Management. They will discuss how their respective approaches to Lean help to manage and improve their processes with minimum cost and maximum value by considering customer and business needs. Further speakers will be announced shortly.

This event will primarily explore the merits and challenges of Lean across construction and infrastructure sectors. There will also be an opportunity for you to define the scope and future direction of this group to ensure it meets the requirements of our members, and promotes valuable best practice sharing and networking. This is your chance to shape your Special Interest Group.

Who should attend?

  • Those involved in continuous improvement in their organisation.
  • Those looking to explore how Lean can be deployed.
  • Those looking to network and share good practice across the industry with like-minded colleagues.
  • Those wishing to shape and influence the future remit, focus and direction of the Construction and Infrastructure Special Interest Group.
