Lean Organisation Management Techniques, Level 2 Online Course

Important Information:

This is a 12-week (approx. 120 hours) Online Self-Study qualification course. It can be started anytime and accessed (via a learning portal) at times/days to suit you.

Register your interest and we will email you an application pack - learning cannot be started until these forms are completed and submitted.

Once this is done, we will send information on how to access the learning portal.

You can only apply for one course at a time however upon completion you can enrol on a further 2 courses per academic year.

Please note to enrol on this course learners must:

• Be aged 19+ on the 31/08/2025
• Learners must be a UK resident and legally living in the UK on the first day of learning. (proof required)
• Due to Government funding criteria, we are unable to accept learners who live in London, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Ireland or a devolved postcode areas. Please check with us if you are unsure.

Lean Organisation Management Technique

This online self-study course allows you to study at your own pace at a time and day that is convenient for you, gaining a level 2 qualification.

Course Information:

You will gain an understanding of the principles of lean organisation techniques and how systems or processes can be set up to improve production. You will look at how waste is reduced and the benefits of a lean environment within business organisations.

Who it is suitable for?

This qualification is suitable if you are working in areas where improvements to quality, process and costs have been identified. It may also be suitable to provide knowledge and new skill set that will be attractive to employers. You may wish to access this qualification with a view to progress to further qualifications or employment, or to develop within your current job role.

Course Content:

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Lean Orgnaisation Management Techniques, you are required to successfully complete the mandatory units:

• Understand the concept of a lean environment
• Be able to implement the productivity needs analysis process
• Be able to produce a process map
• Know about continuous improvement techniques
• Understand the principles and techniques of workplace organisation
• Be able to use visual indicators to improve the work environment
• Know ways to eliminate variance from processes in the workplace
• Understand what makes an effect team
• Be able to work effectively in a team
• Understand the role of a team leader

How Will I Learn:

All learning will be online (self-study) and can be completed at a time that suits without the need to attend college. Dedicated tutors will provide written feedback on the assessments and ongoing remote support where required.

The course includes online learning materials in the form of interactive resources and flipbooks, a personalised login to access the online learning portal will be given on enrolment.

Are there any exams or assessments?

You will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and demonstrate your knowledge. Your personal tutor will then assess your work and provide you with constructive feedback for each unit.
