Lean Six Sigma is a global, industry wide recognised and highly sought after Continuous Improvement & Project Management methodology to allow practitioners to develop extensive skills within business process improvement.

Who Should Attend?
Lean aims to remove all wasteful activity from all processes increasing the value your business generates to its customer base, at the same time as maximising efficiency.
Six Sigma is a method to reduce defects and variation from a product or process. Combined, Lean & Six Sigma creates a powerful toolkit for practitioners to make measurable business improvement.

Prerequisites
People attending Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training will need to have completed the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training.

Location
Our Lean Six Sigma courses are held at our Training Centre in Retford, Nottinghamshire and can be used toward your CPD. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is 40 hours long.

Course Content

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training covers:

  • 5’s, mistake proofing
  • Advanced Graphical analysis
  • Advanced Process capability and stability analysis
  • Advanced Voice of the Customer/business
  • Baseline measurement & data collection
  • Change management
  • Control planning
  • Design of Experiments overview
  • Introduction to Lean & Six Sigma and the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control (DMAIC) improvement cycle
  • Introduction to process variation, sigma, standard deviation and statistical process control
  • Introductory Graphical analysis
  • Key project tools within the DMAIC phases of process improvement required to operate at Yellow belt level including:
  • Measurement and systems planning
  • Measurement systems analysis
  • Process and Value Stream Mapping
  • Process capability and stability analysis
  • Process Mapping
  • Process variation, sigma, standard deviation and statistical process control
  • Project charter
  • Project tools within the DMAIC phases of process improvement required to operate at Green belt level including:
  • Risk management
  • Root cause and problem-solving analysis (Fishbone, 5 why)
  • Simulated activities to bring the methodology to life
  • Stakeholder management
  • Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer (SIPOC)
  • Voice of the Customer/business

Candidates will be required to complete a project using the training learning prior to advancing forward for ISO accreditation. This will need to be discussed on an individual basis as there’s further work post course required for this.
