Lewis-Manning Hospice Care invites you to an adrenaline-fueled charity abseil, giving supporters the chance to descend 10 stories down an iconic Bournemouth landmark all while taking in mighty panoramic views of Bournemouth and the dramatic Dorset coastline.

Every leap you take will help us continue providing outstanding hospice care in our community.

Participants will raise vital funds through their personal sponsorship and enjoy a fun, safe, and inspiring day, cheered on by family, friends, and fellow fundraisers!

Frequently asked questions

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your time slot will be transferred to the same time the following week. For example if you booked for 10am on Friday 6th March , you will automatically be moved to 10am Friday 13th March. Bad Weather call will be made up to a week in advance and you will be contacted via the email you booked with.

Is there parking for the event ?

Yes - Cotlands Road car park is just across from the Abseil site and offers the following tariff - Charges apply 24 hours, 7 days a week: up to 1 hour: £2 up to 2 hours: £3.20 up to 4 hours: £5.70 up to 24 hours: £6.30

Is the event accessible?

Please contact us directly if you have any accessibility requirements, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Will photos be taken?

Yes – professional event photos will be captured on the day, and available for participants to view and purchase after the event.

Can spectators watch?

Yes! Friends and family are welcome to come along, cheer you on, and soak in the atmosphere.

Will I have to sign a waiver?

If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before abseiling and sign a non-standard waiver: • High blood pressure • Heart condition • Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy • Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs, or eyes • Asthma • Medication

Is there an age restriction ?

You CANNOT take part if you are under 11 and if you are aged 50 years or above: we strongly advise that you seek medical advice prior to taking part.

You can NOT participate if you are:

• Under 11 years old • Pregnant • Under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs

The following points apply to ALL participants:

• 11 to 15 year olds require a parent or guardian to be present, sign permission and will be required to complete a non-standard waiver • If you have long hair, please be prepared to tie it up and out of the way • Maximum weight limit for a solo participant is 120kg (18.9 stone) • Waist harnesses f
