Learn Clothes Mending at Acton Gardens

All levels of sewing welcome, from beginners to advance, there’s always something new to share or learn. We will have patching and darning guides, sewing equipment, scrap fabric for patching, zip kit, mending books and samples to inspire you.

Also on the day, there will be a Christmas jumper swap, book swap, plus other reuse and reycling activities Save Money this winter at the ReActon Waste Busting Event.

Please bring 1-2 items of clothing or textile items that need mending for helpful suggestions from our sewing tutors. We will teach you how to mend it.

Our volunteers will teach you how to patch and darn your or your family's clothes. We will get you starting to mending your clothes. Our manual hand powered Singer sewing machine will be available to use on simple mends.

So come along and get mending, reusing and recycling.
