About this event
Portrait drawing master class
Let’s face it (excuse the pun), we all want to become better portrait artists. Faces are one of the most challenging subjects to tackle and one of the most satisfying to do. However we're always faces with difficulty. Just a milermeter out on the eyes and your face can look like another human being all together!
But that doesn’t make drawing portraits impossible. With a good drawing method at hand, we can put ourselves in a great place to draw realistic faces. That’s where this class comes in. There’s lots of ways to draw portraits, so we want to show you one of them.
In this workshop, we’ll send you a little pack in the post with a few bits to make this drawing as dynamic as possible. We’ll all be working from the same image and I’ll show you step by step instructions of how to make your artwork.
What To Expect
Our method will be looking at how to measure the portrait and break it down into easy stages. Using a stick, we’ll work on a site sized drawing and improve our measuring skills like you see in the studios.
What's In The Pack?
- A measuring stick
- Image of the portrait
- Tracing paper
- Chalk pencil
- Post Drawing Paper
