Learn How to Mix a Song (live with producer Aubrey Whitfield)

Whether you're a music producer looking to sharpen up your mixing skills, or whether or someone who is just starting out in music and wants to learn what mixing is, this all-levels mixing class will give you a rare insight into how songs are mixed for record labels and what standards are required.

The online session will be run by Music Producer Aubrey Whitfield who has worked with Little Mix, Kelly Clarkson and George Shelley and writes for BMG, Universal and EMI. During the live event Aubrey will mix and master a song from scratch and talk you through her mixing process. This will include:

- How her mixes are organised and structured

- How she uses compression, EQ and effects to bring a song to life

- Proper gain staging techniques

- Using automation to create dynamic and interesting mixes

- How to make the mix competitively loud

- Testing the mixes on various sound sources

- How to ensure the mix is ready for use on multiple streaming platforms
