Learn the art of Public Speaking
Tue 6 December 2016, 18:30 – 21:00 GMT
'The mind is a wonderful thing. It starts working when you are born and never stops until you get up to speak in public' Roscoe Drummond
Whether you are an experienced speaker or you have been hiding in the shadows too nervous to stand and share your story before a crowd, this is the event for you. The evening boasts a guest speaker, group led exercises, tools, tips and techniques from experienced speakers, opportunities to network with like minded people and the option to face your fears and practice freestyle speaking in front of the group on an impromptu topic in one of our quick fire rounds.
If you just wish to come and learn more about the art of public speaking and how to develop your skill set, that's fine and if you would rather get some stage time, followed by constructive feedback from our experienced speakers then that's fine too. No one will be pressured, forced or tricked into speaking in front of an audience, we are here to support, encourage and inspire you to make the transition from spectator to speaker in your own time.
If you have any questions about the event then please do not hesitate to ask and one of our team would be delighted to hear from you.
This session will be led by Stephen Doran, #1 best selling author, international speaker, performance coach and NLP trainer. Stephen has vast experience in training public speaking, from lecturing on the subject in universities to training world famous artists on how to maximise their stage presence, if anyone can help you discover your potential it is him. Stephen has spoke to all types of audiences from colleges to corporate, crowds as small as 2 and as big as 2000! He has also had ample experience in front of the camera, for BBC, ITV and Dave in addition to his own online video series.
