Event description

Description

This course is suitable for both complete beginners and those with some knowledge. Over the course of 4 hours, using recipes and techniques I learned in France, you’ll learn to mix, prove, shape and bake your dough.

  • Learn how to scale your recipes up and down
  • Adapt your recipes depending on the temperature in the room
  • How to weigh and shape your dough
  • How to add flavours

  • Meet for a light lunch and chat over what we’ll be making
  • Learn how to knead, shape and bake a variety of breads
  • Refreshments whilst your bread is baking
  • Display of the breads you’ve made

Please bear in mind the following:

  • You will be standing for most of the time, so please wear very comfortable shoes.
  • It will get hot in the kitchen, so make sure you can "strip off" a layer
  • No jewellery please!
  • Aprons will be provided

Pricing

Ticket price includes all fees. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer please contact me.

Food allergies

This class is not suitable if you are gluten intolerant. We will be using some seeds so let me know if you are allergic to anything. Lunch will be vegetarian!

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We are located just off the A38 near Slimbridge with plenty of parking.

What can I bring into the event?

You will be taking plenty of bread home, so boxes or bags will be needed
