Event description

Description

We love Kombucha!

Learn how to ferment and brew your own kombucha at Green Lab in 60 minutes. You'll also take away your very own scoby and starter liquid to kickstart your first brew at home.

Kombucha is raw fermented tea that boosts the body's immune system and maintains a healthy gastrointestinal tract with an array of beneficial acids. The sugar-tea solution is fermented by bacteria and yeast commonly known as a “SCOBY” (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast). Although it's usually made with black tea, kombucha can also be made many other types of teas, or even coffee. These ingredients are left to ferment in a warm environment for a period of time, leaving you with a delicious, refreshing and nutrient dense drink.

The session will run for 60 minutes, including a tasting session, your own SCOBY to take home and set of guidelines for brewing and experimenting with more teas.

Pricing from £25 per person.

You'll just need to bring a jam jar or sealable glass pot for the SCOBY and starter liquid - 200ml

Hosted from 6.30pm - 7.30pm - starts at 6.30pm prompt.
