In this workshop you will learn how to embelish a plain wood tray using just paper and glue! I will teach you the wonderful technique of decoupage, which you can then use at home to upcycle other items. Once you've learned it, all you need is time, patience, and a few very affordable materials and tools - some of which you may already have. I will give you a handout to remind you the basic steps of the technique, and suggest where you can purchase materials and tools.
During the workshop, you will be able to select papers my own collection to transform a serving tray into your unique creation through decoupage. I will guide you through the design process and show you all the tricks of applying layers of very thin paper to a flat surface. You will have enough time to complete both sides of the tray but depending on time and atmospheric conditions you may need to varnish it at home.
All you need to bring with you is an apron and a small lidded container to take varnish home at the end - all materials plus tea and coffee are included in the cost of the workshop.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable but you can transfer your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend - just email me their contact details.
