Please note that this workshop runs for two evenings or mornings and one full day, so the date you see listed here is just the full day of the course.
Wednesdays 9 and 16 (5 - 8 or 6 - 9 pm) OR
Tuesdays 8 and 15 (10 am - 1pm)
PLUS Saturday 12 (10.30 am - 5 pm)
There is some flexibility in terms of the weekday sessions and if you can't make Wednesday evenings or Tuesday mornings I may be able to accomodate you on another weekday - please contact me at email@example.com if you would like to discuss alternative dates.
In this course you will learn how to upcycle a chair or another small piece of furniture using just paper and glue. I will teach you the wonderful technique of decoupage, which you can then use at home to upcycle other items. Once you've learned it, all you need is time, patience, and a few very affordable materials and tools - some of which you may already have. I will give you a handout to remind you the basic steps of the technique, and suggest where you can purchase materials and tools.
During the workshop, you will be able to select papers my own collection to transform a piece of furniture into your unique creation through decoupage. I will guide you through the design process and show you all the tricks of applying very thin paper to a hard surface. You can either bring your own item (clean and primed with a coat of white paint) or purchase one of my chairs for £20. If you're interested in this option please let me know and I'll email you a picture of what I have in stock.
All materials plus a light vegetarian lunch on the full day, tea and coffee are included in the cost of the workshop. Please note that due to time constraints it is likely that you will have to varnish your piece of furniture at home.
All bookings are non-refundable but you can transfer your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend - just email me their contact details.
