Learn to Expose a Silkscreen

An induction by Associate Artist Tom Armstrong on how to learn how to prepare and expose a screen using UV emulsion in our exposure unit. This course is aimed primarily at members to create a screen which they can then use at the Makerspace at their leisure.

Although it will be fairly straightforward, it’s useful if you have some experience of screen printing - perhaps you've attended one of our other workshops or have previous experience of the process?

You are welcome to bring along an image you wish to expose. The session to include:

• Check that images will all be ok to expose
• Learn about materials, equipment and how to coat and expose screens
• Make a test print from our screens
