Learn to Fight
Overview
Learn to fight among friends in a safe environment and enjoy self discovery at your own pace though conflict and respect.
Fighting is a sacred rite for both men and women and through this series of events you will have the chance to explore conflict at your own pace.
How does it work?
Your fight can be anything from a friendly tussle, to a rap battle to a full on fist fight. You and your opponent agree upon the rules before you start and you will have plenty of time to explore your limits.
The process is simple:
Witness - Two combatants require a witness/referee. It is the job of the witness to hold the combatants to their agreement.
Limitations - Before the fight begins combatants agree on their limitations. For example, a fight can be limited to only words, non-contact body language, light contact, full contact etc.
Handshake - Before the fight begins combatants shake each others hands and agree to the limits of the match. If the limitations are exceeded, the witness breaks up the fight.
Why:
- Connect to and control rage.
- Temper the physical body.
- Calm the mind under pressure.
So, come fight me,
I will be in Hyde Park at St. Govers Well from 11:00 until lunch every week...
