Overview

A playtime yoga session focused on hippy arm balances - Grasshopper, Flying Pigeon and Baby Grasshopper.

Join Amy for this fun, uplifting, playful yoga workshop where we will experiment with balancing on our hands. This is the 3rd of 3 autumn workshops in Castle Douglas, exploring the fine art of arm balancing.

In this workshop, we will explore three poses:

✨Grasshopper

✨Flying Pigeon

✨Baby Grasshopper

You do not need superhuman strength! With the correct warmup, mechanics and instruction, you'll have all the tools you need to take flight.

All you need is an open mind, a sense of humour, and a growth mindset - the process IS the practice.

All are welcome, regardless of age, gender orientation, size, shape or ability. You do not need to practice yoga already to try these arm balances.

Workshop format:

10.30 - 10.50 intros and arm balance fundamentals

10.50-11.50 - a strategic targeted warmup including wrist-strengthening exercises, and mobility, strength and flexibility drills and flows. These are designed to prep the exact parts of the body we will be using in our arm balances.

11.50-12.50 - playtime! We will experiment with three arm balances. You will receive full instruction and personalised coaching in each pose.

12.50 - 1 - relaxation and closing

We will not be taking a tea break so as not to cool down too much in the middle of practice, but you are welcome to dip in and out of the room for breaks if you need.
