Will I be able to park close to the studio?

Yes, free parking is available on the mill site.

Is the studio easy to access?

There are 5 steps up to the front door, then two sets of 8 steps to the floor on which the studio is located. Handrails are provided, but unfortunately there is no lift. I'm sorry but this means that you may struggle to get in if your mobility is limited.

Is the session open to young people?

Yes, a young person 14-17 is welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is also attending. All participants pay the same fee.

What if I find I cannot attend but have already booked?

If your circumstances change, course fees will be refunded up to 24 hours before the event. Booking fees charged by Eventbrite, are not refundable however. There are no refunds within 24 hours of the event but you could arrange for someone to attend in your place - just let us know.

Learn all the basics of knitting in three easy sessions!

This short course is for complete beginners, or those who need to refresh their knitting skills and can equip you to start knitting simple projects. We shall cover a simple cast on, knit and purl stitches, ribbing, easy increases and decreases and binding off.

Once you have mastered these basics you will be able to progress to knitting simple items to use or gift to others, enjoying a Mindful and productive new hobby!

Please note that English (Western) style knitting is taught on this course and you will get the most out of it by practicing between sessions. All materials will be provided for use in the session although you may wish to purchase your own needles to take home.

Open to men and women, as well as young people 14-16 when accompanied by a participating adult.
