The benefits of meditation include:
– Effective means to reduce stress & anxiety
– Improves mindfulness & concentration
– Promotes a more positive approach to life
– Aids relaxation and letting go of tension
During this series of classes, be guided by an experienced practitioner through several mediations that can be reproduced at home, learn how to improve mindfulness and concentration; as well as how to set up a regular meditation practice. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on how to improve your meditation practice.
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
April series - 5, 19 & 26 April (please note there is no class on 12 April as the Temple is closed that week)
May series - 3, 10 & 17 May
Do I have to attend all 3-weeks?
No, each class is self-contained and can be attended on a drop-in basis. However, it is beneficial if possible to attend the entire series of classes.
Do I need to wear anything special?
No, people normally just use a chair. You can wear whatever is most comfortable.
