Would you like to learn to meditate? Or have you tried in the past but not managed to make it a habit? Then this is the course for you!

In just four weeks you will discover the basic teachniques of both seated and walking meditations. The transformative effects of mindfulness are so easy to enjoy when we turn even chores into a source of peace and happiness, so you will also learn how to bring mindful attention to all aspects of life. This means that you can develop a daily meditation practice at your own pace, until you enjoy it so much that you can't imagine life without it!

Each week we will focus on a different aspect of mindfulness meditation so that you have practical, easily achievable steps to take towards your goal of a happier life. There will also be plenty of opportunities to tailor this course to your exact requirements, so if you are drawn to meditation for a particular reason, please do let me know and I will ensure that you are given specific meditations to take away that are designed to help you flourish.

The format of each week of this 4 weeks course will be:

4 x 1 hour sessions at Amaranth Health & Wellbeing Clinic in Bramhall. Sessions are from 09.45-10.45am on Mondays 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th July 2017.

Each session will include 30 minutes to discuss practical techniques of mindfulness meditation: questions are encouraged as this is your opportunity to identify the easiest ways for you to incorporate some or all of the ideas into your life, and to develop your practice as the course progresses. This will then be followed by 15 minutes practice of a guided seated meditation, and 15 minutes practice of a guided walking meditation. Handouts will be provided, and you will be given a simple planner so that you are able to identify your personal "top tips" to practice between each of the sessions.

The course is designed for complete beginners or for those with some experience of meditation who wish to establish a more enjoyable, regular mindfulness practice into their lives. Numbers are limited to 6 people and the course is designed to be enjoyed in its entirety, so each session will build upon material covered in the week before to help you progress as successfully as possible.
