Learn to paint like Turner Workshop 10.00am-1pm
Master the Art of atmosphere and light! art is a great activity to encourage mindfulness, relaxation and creativity. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter looking to explore new techniques, this hands-on session will take you through the atmospheric journey of Turners style, from misty seascapes to glowing sunsets.
You will be under the guidance of our professional art tutor Marina who will explain, demonstrate and guide you through every step of the way. You will learn how to layer colour from light and depth, capture fog, water and weather, create dramatic atmosphere and how to work with different mediums.
Materials required for this workshop
You can choose to paint with watercolours, oils or acrylic, the choice is yours!
You are welcome to bring an image of your favourite Turner painting or get inspiration from some of the many art books devoted on his work and life.
You will need to bring the paints of your choice, brushes suitable for watercolour, oils or acrylics, good quality watercolour paper or canvas or canvas board and turpentine if you decide to work with oils, as watercolour and acrylics are water-based mediums.
We will be painting on tables, but if you have a tabletop or floor standing easel you are most welcome to bring these along.
