• Learn practical, foundational gong-playing techniques
• Practise with a range of high-quality gongs and sound healing instruments
• Build the skills and confidence to deliver a simple, seated gong bath by the end of the weekend

No musical experience or gong is required - just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

COST

The cost of the weekend Gong Intensive is £290 to be paid in advance.

An early bird price of £270 is available for payments made in full by 20th July.

The fee includes a £100 deposit.

LUNCH

We will break for lunch between 1pm and 2pm each day.

Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle.

Kitchen facilities include an oven, hob, microwave and refrigerator.

Water, tea, coffee and some herbal teas will be available throughout the day.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP TUTOR

Danielle North, a qualified Sound Healer with the Voice, Gong Practitioner and Gong Tutor with the UK College of Sound Healing, is also a six-time published author with over 100,000 books sold, and has spent over 20 years coaching business leaders and running spiritual retreats around the world.

Blending sound, stillness and rituals she facilitates from a forgotten realm; one where communication flows through ancient tones and the power that lies beyond words.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The two-day Gong Intensive is an immersion in the Gong teachings for a whole weekend. This weekend Intensive is open to both novice and seasoned gong players alike, and our work over the two days will be structured according to the needs of the participants. Diverse gong-related subjects will be covered including learning and practising various techniques. This is an ideal workshop for those who want to kick-start their gong experience and begin their gong journey with expert tuition in the powerful gong space!

There will be plenty of opportunity to use many of the different high-quality gongs in Danielle’s collection. We will also mention some of the other instruments used in the gong bath and students will learn how to give a simple seated gong bath. Over the two days participants will have ample opportunity to deepen their own personal experience with this powerful healing instrument.

ABOUT THE GONG

The Gong is a powerful and magical instrument which has been in use in the spiritual traditions of the East for several thousand years. The bronze Gong probably originated around six thousand years ago in what is now Iraq and continues to be used in the Buddhist religious tradition. When played it produces the original sound "Om", which is an extremely powerful and healing sound to the human ear. When the Gong is played it bathes the human body in sound - this is why we use the term "Gong Bath" to describe this type of therapy. The usual result of a Gong Bath is that the person being “gonged" feels very calm and relaxed, and usually goes into a state of meditation automatically. Like all forms of Sound Healing it works on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The Gong is thus a most powerful instrument for healing.

• Brief background on the Gong and different types
• The effects of the Gong – dissonant harmony
• Different techniques for playing the Gong
• Building up sound, listening, channelling – stepping aside, allowing
• Using other related instruments
• Learning how to give a Gong Bath, sacred tone improvisation
• Giving a Gongbath to individuals and groups, aspects of performance
• Receiving a Gongbath – at least two during the weekend
• Question and answer time

Eventbrite Fees are non-refundable.Deposits (£100 included in the Intensive Workshop fee) are paid to cover administration costs and to save your space in our usually fully booked workshops and are non-refundable.

Cancellations more than two months prior to the workshop - your deposit can be transferred to another workshop if there are spaces available. We offer one transfer without charge. An additional transfer will incur a £30 admin fee.

Cancellations more than four weeks prior to the workshop – refund of your balance less the deposit.
