We are running our learn to ride sessions on Thursdays over the October holidays. The sessions are open to children and adults of all ages and abilities. There is a maximum of 2 tickets per person to stop one person buying in bulk. If this system works then we will run the other sessions. Go easy on us, we are trying to help you out, and we had no idea there was such a demand for this type of activity! Help us create a system and event that works for both you and us.
We will have 30minute time slots available to book for £7per session. Eventbrite fees of approximately £1.50 will apply on top of this, meaning it will be around £8.50 per ticket. Previous events had 20minute slots but we feel that a 30minute slot will work better and so we have changed the price accordingly.
There are no refunds for this event so please book carefully.
The sessions will be 30minutes and will help people with their balance and to get the basics of being on a bike. Using our balance bikes and bikes we can help your child learn to ride a bike. Everyone has different needs, some may need a balance bike, some may learn quicker than others, some may pick it up really quickly, others may need 3 or 4 sessions. Please bear in mind they may not get it in one day but they will be on their way to learning. We are running this event as it seems there are parents out there who need help getting their kids cycling. Once your 30minutes is up, you can continue practicing but we may need the balance bikes for the next learner. It is hard work learning to ride, both physically and mentally, so a short session is more effective than trying for hours. Please bring a drink for your child and a snack for afterwards.
Appointments will run from 10am to 3pm and you must be at your appointment 10minutes before it starts. If you are going to be late or cancel on the day please call us on 07486429003. (please call do not text)
We have a wide selection of bikes and balance bikes to use, but you can bring your own if you wish to do so.
We ran this as a free event last time and some people didnt turn up so there is a charge this time. Free Wheel North is a charity, please feel free to make a further donation if you wish to
