About this event

Sew a skirt in 5 easy steps and using sustainable sewing methods


Join us for a fun and interactive sewing class where you'll learn how to sew your very own skirt using a sewing machine. This event is perfect for beginners who are interested in sustainable fashion and want to learn how to create their own stylish and eco-friendly garments.

During this 2 day hands-on class, our experienced instructors will guide you through the process of selecting fabric, taking measurements, and using a sewing machine to create a beautiful skirt that fits you perfectly.

By the end of the class, you'll have a completed skirt that you can proudly wear and show off to your friends. Plus, you'll gain valuable skills and knowledge about sustainable fashion, empowering you to make more conscious choices when it comes to your wardrobe.

We will also discuss the effects of fast fashion on our everyday lives and what sustainable fashion is all about.

What you need to bring ?

  • Fabric to make the skirt. We will send detailed instructions of what & what not to bring
  • Bring your own sewing machine if you haven’t paid for a machine loan
  • Sewing machine manual and all the accessories the machine came with, if it’s you are bringing your own sewing machine
  • Bobbin, bobbin case if applicable for your own machine
  • Machine sewing threads – Matching colours
  • A full sewing kit. You can purchase a carefully curated sewing kit from us if you wanted to
  • Notepad and pen

Note: Your machine has to be in good working condition and recently serviced.

What should I bring with me to the class?

Bring your own sewing machine with it’s power cable. Sewing machine manual and all the accessories the machine came with Bobbin, bobbin case if applicable Fabric and matching thread A full sewing kit. You can purchase one from us if you wanted to Notepad and pen

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellation notice period: Refunds: 28 days or more before the course start date - Full refund will be given 15-27 days before the course start date - 50% refund will be given 14 days or less before the course start date We will try and fill the space. If we fill it, we will issue a full refund.

What is the age range?

This class is aimed at teenagers and adults

How many participants will attend?

There will be a maximum of 3 participants at this class. Small groups work best as everyone gets a chance to learn and ask questions. Please note: The class would be rescheduled if we don't fill all the seats.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, this venue isn't wheelchair accessible. There are 2 short sets of stairs to get to the room. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you want further info or any specific needs or concerns. I will do my best to accommodate you.
