Do you have a sewing machine at home but you don't know where to start? Or maybe you are thinking about getting a sewing machine but you are not too sure sewing is the right thing for you? Then our Sewing Machine Workshop is exactly what you need.

This workshop is designed to walk you through the basics, build your confidence and get you started on the exciting journey of sewing!

We will cover:

-how to thread your machine, wind the bobbin, and change the needle

-looking at the different types of seams and finishing techniques

-practice how to sew straight lines, curves and turn corners

-how to make a buttonhole and how to sew in a zip

-make a little craft project to gain experience measuring, cutting and sewing fabric

-how to maintain your sewing machine and prevent costly service charges

All equipment and some materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring along your own sewing machine if you wish to.

To keeps the class focused on everyone’s personal needs, we are only taking on 2 students per workshop. Covid-19 protection measures are in place to safeguard the health and wellbeing of staff members and participants. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact us.
