Event description

Description

More than 12 million Brits will travel abroad this year and we're all familiar with exchanging our money. There are so many terms and abbreviations used in the Foreign exchange world and none of these terms has to be confusing for you.

Here at Learn to Trade our professionals discuss every aspect of the trading world including Foreign Exchange rates. You've probably seen electronic boards at the airport showing terms like GBP/USD, EUR/USD or for example JPY/USD, these are called currency pairs.

There are many regular travelers who keep tabs on the market and exchange their money at the right time to make small profits...Here's an example:

Let's say the USD / EUR pair ratio is 1,5 that means you need 1,5 USD to buy 1 EUR. If you travel to Europe and arrive with 1,500 USD, at the time of the change you will end up with 1,000 EUR.

Now, if during the trip you do not spend the 1,000 EUR and the price of this currency goes up to 2,0, by the time you travel back to the US when you exchange your Euros back to dollars, you will receive 2,000 instead of the initial 1,500.

If you want to learn more about trading terms like this and more, why not come along to one of our free trading workshops? Our workshops are for everyday people with no background in trading and want to learn from scratch. Our professionals were once beginners and are well equipped to take you through step by step. Sign up for your free ticket now, thank us later.
