Learn to weave - Wall hanging

Learn the beautiful craft of weaving using your own DIY portable wooden loom.
In this fun and informal workshop lead by exciting Leeds weaver Lucy Beggs, you will use a range of different yarns and textures including super soft roving wool to make your own wall hanging
You will learn new techniques including how to warp the loom, basic stitches such as Tabby Weave, Soumak and Rya Knots to make a fringe.
This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basics of weaving and get you started on your wall hanging as well as giving you the confidence and skills to continue and develop your new skills at home and join the ever-growing community of modern day weavers.
The workshop is being held at our lovely pop up shop & studio in Thorntons arcade and you will have the opportunity to purchase any craft supplies in the shop on the day with a special 10% discount. It's a perfect way to relax and be creative on a Saturday afternoon.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills.
We are also offering gift vouchers so you can buy a ticket for this workshop for as a unique and exciting gift for friends and family.
All materials are included including the loom which you get to take away with you.
