Event Details

Is your library or institution working on a Research Data Management policy, or looking for examples of best practice when it comes to managing research data?

If so, join us on 24 April at 1500 CET for a free webinar: The LEARN Tookit – an armoury of best practice for all research performing organisations.

The Toolkit was recently launched by the EU-funded LEARN project as a resource for anyone looking at how best to manage research data. It takes the issues identified in the LERU Roadmap and provides templates, case studies and a Model RDM Policy – all aimed at helping institutions to successfully create, implement and execute their own RDM plans.

During this one-hour Webinar, members of LEARN will discuss the project in general and the resources contained within the Toolkit. The Webinar will feature the following speakers.

  • Wouter Schallier, chief librarian at the Hernán Santa Cruz Library (UN ECLAC);
  • Paolo Budroni, Head of Department at Vienna University Library;
  • Martin Moyle, Assistant Director (Support Services) at UCL Library Services.

In addition to the live Webinar, a recording will be shared soon after the event.

LEARN (LEaders Activating Research Networks)

The five-partner project, LEARN (Leaders Activating Research Networks), addresses the challenges of existing, disparate e-infrastructures and the global needs of research data. It raises awareness of Research Data Management (RDM) and policy issues for institutions by maximizing the visibility of the existing LERU Roadmap for Research Data, issued by the League of European Research Universities in 2013. To promote policy development and use, LEARN will develop an RDM policy model, as well as a toolkit to support implementation at institutional levels.
