Prosecution and Defence counsel await the verdict in the trial of Philip Bullimore, a high profile football manager.  Each of them is guarding a secret. As events unfold, irregularities in the trial are revealed and relationships, careers and the true course of justice are all put on trial.

"Learned Friends" is a "lively, intelligent legal cliff-hanger" (Leamington Spa Courier), a "warm, witty and suspenseful work" (Eyesoretheatre.com) performed in the atmospheric setting of a working Crown Court.  Early scenes take place in the public assembly area before cast and audience relocate to a courtroom for a fully immersive legal drama.  Every trial needs a verdict and the cast are the last to learn it. At the start of the play the performers are unaware how it will end ... let the jury decide.

Cast includes former West End actor Sharon Baylis (The Mousetrap, Amadeus, Bergerac, Emmerdale) and former West End, National Theatre and RSC actor Michael Bott  (Skylight, Darkest Hour)

The performance takes place by kind permission of the Resident Judge, HHJ Guy Kearl QC.

This event is generously sponsored by: Brewin Dolphin, Gateley Plc, Park Square Barristers and Weightman's Solicitors.

A donation of £5 to Simon on the Streets Registered Charity Number 1165317 is included in the price of each ticket sold. For further details see simononthestreets.co.uk
