About this event

Learning at work week takes place from 17 to 23 May 2021. This year's theme is Made for Learning.

Learning at Work Week is a unique annual event to build learning cultures at work. It aims to put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of continual learning and development.

To support this we have put together a series of virtual events to encourage you to learn, connect and be curious. It is an opportunity for you to think about your own approach to learning.

Join us to celebrate lifelong learning at work and build learning cultures everywhere

Monday 17 May -10.00am-12.00pm

Developing your career virtually. Open to civil servants in Wales only

Become better at working virtually as a key part of your career development

This session will be in two parts:

10am to 11am - developing your career virtually and

11am to 12pm - developing your unique career narrative.

The focus of the session is to provide civil servants with a range of techniques and strategies to enable them to use the experience of working throughout a pandemic positively and to allow them to continue to progress in their civil service careers

The presenter is Phil Denning, a recently retired civil servant who held a range of senior roles in a 15 year civil service career. This was part of a 35 year career as a public educator and trainer. I was a member of the FDA National Executive for several years and was the first FDA Lifelong Learning Champion.

Tuesday 18th May 12.00-13.00

You are warmly invited to join Simon Briggs and Helen Jeffries, who will provide an overview of Neurodiversity. This will include their own lived experience perspectives of their respective neurodivergent strengths and challenges, and an opportunity to have your questions answered.
