The Diocese of London is richly blessed by dedicated community focused chaplains. As we've met with many of you - one request has been repeatedly asked for: To connect and to learn together with other like-minded chaplains across the capital.
So what do we mean by the term Community Chaplain?
It's the activity of the individual in their community not necessarily their job title. An individual who through their role is intentionally offering personal and emotional support along with practical help into a community which is in addition to normal life of their church.
- Does the description above sound like you?
- Would you value meeting up with fellow chaplains across the diocese?
- If yes, then please do join us on the 17th October
It's our first learning community.
At this first gathering we'll be focus on the the theme of Fullness of life together and Bethany Eckley, one of the authors of the report, will be joining us to lead the conversation and communal learning.
Also as we gather you'll the have opportunity to connect with other chaplains, share stories and best practice as together we seek the welfare of the communities and estates we are called to serve.
I look forward to see you on the 17th
