This is a free FACE TO FACE training session delivered by iCaSH Outreach Training for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Norfolk.

Aim

A short overview of working with people with learning disabilities around sexual health promotion and education

Outcomes

  • Explain that people with learning disabilities have the same sexual needs as everyone else.
  • Explain the difficulties to overcome in communicating sexual health issues
  • State ways to communicate effectively with people with a learning disability around sexual health.
  • Describe consent and capacity and it’s role in terms of sexual health.
  • State resources and services we can access to aid and support us in promoting peoples sexual health.


This is a two hour interactive training session. Venue and parking details for the session will be sent to the email address you provide. Please ensure you arrive with time to spare to minimise any delays is starting the session.
