Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Learning Disability and Psychiatry Update CPD event on 7 November 2019. This is a full day event taking place at the Novotel Hotel, offering free car parking, lunch and refreshments.

Sensory Processing - Susan Graham, Advanced Occupational Therapist
Medication use in Learning Disability & Autism - David Gerrard, Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner
Common Psychiatric Disorders - Dr Paul Swinglehurst, Consultant Psychiatrist
Recognising & responding to communication needs in people with Learning Disabilities - Caroline Wills, Learning Disability Clinical Development Lead
Forensic issues in patients with a Learning Disability - Dr Gill Bell, Consultant Psychiatrist
Assessment of capacity - Dr Lisa Rippon, Consultant Psychiatrist
Positive Behaviour Support - Dr Gill Legg, Consultant Clinical Psychologist

  • Excellent day. Felt stimulated and engaged the whole day
  • Really enjoyed variety of presentations as well as different styles of presenters.
  • The presentations covered very important topics which are a must to general adult psychiatry.

An early bird rate of £60 per head is being offered to all applications processed before 30 June 2019. Thereafter the charge will be £99 per delegate.
