Description

The day will include,

  • Discussion about the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Inclusive Communication Position Paper, and what it means for you.

  • Projects and developments in Inclusive Communication from the Parent, Care Provider, School and SLT perspectives; their achievements, challenges, inspirations, future ambitions.

  • The Care Inspectorate on how they are assessing and seeing communication practice within different environments.

  • Important updates on communication equipment legislation in Scotland which gives new rights to AAC users who need communication equipment and support to use that equipment.

  • The chance to develop new Inclusive Communication collaboratives across Scotland, starting with a discussion about what action, research and development work we can, need and want to take as a group in the field of Inclusive Communication.
