About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Creekside Discovery Centre offers a range of learning programmes, but the most popular is wading in Deptford Creek. Each year about 100 school groups spend a full day at the Centre wading in the water and learning about the ecology, history and geography of the area. As well as this many public activities are held for young learners and adults, and community groups of all ages experience this unique environment too.

To find out more about their work visit here - Home : Creekside Discovery Centre

During this activity staff at the Centre will share more detail about their work, including how they reduce and manage risk in this dynamic environment. Places are limited so book now to secure your spot! There will be tea and snacks on arrival and then we'll prepare to enter the river. After spending just over an hour exploring the river environment we'll return to the Centre, for a brief discussion. Waders and mud sticks provided!

Please arrive promptly for the scheduled start time to allow for preparation to enter the river.

Meet at Creekside Discovery Centre, SE8 4SA. What3Words location.
