During our event, you will have a chance to learn more about the role of the Learning Mentor, the responsibilities, and specifications of the roles but you will also get an understanding of what kind of exciting working environment Walsall College can be.

As a Learning Mentor you will be responsible for:
• Providing cross-college support to students who have a wide variety of additional support needs.
• Providing support for tutors teaching students with additional support needs both cross college and within the SLDD provision.
Various working hours and salaries available:
• Salary: £7,791.72 – £8,269.46 per annum
Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week / Term Time Only
• Salary: £11,687.58 – £12,404.18 per annum
Working Hours: 27.75 hours per week / Term Time Only
• Salary: £9.90 per hour
Working Hours: As and when required
Required qualifications:
• Minimum of Level 2 English
• Minimum of Level 2 Maths
• Minimum of 3 GCSEs, at grade C or above. Equivalent level qualifications will also be accepted
• NVQ Level 3 classroom assistant or BTEC in Classroom Support Assistants qualification or willingness to achieve within an agreed timescale.
