Event Details

Stories are a very important part of childhood. They are an essential tool for promoting thinking, learning and imagination and, above all, children love them. This makes them an invaluable opportunity for advancing language learning. In this webinar, we will look at different ways we can exploit the process of storytelling, applying traditional storytime activities to stories from course books in a way that engages our children, nurtures their interest in English and maximizes their assimilation of new language.

About the presenter: Roisin O’Farrell has been teaching young learners for more than 20 years, in Japan, Korea and Spain. She is, currently, Head of Children’s Studies at ELI, Seville, where her responsibilities include developing children’s courses and teacher training. Roisin is co-author of Macmillan’s primary course Macmillan English Quest.
