LEARNING TO LISTEN TO DISABLED PEOPLE
Event Information
Description
A day of reflection, designed to give a voice to those who are disabled, Deaf, carers or those supporting disabled people in the life of the church. How does the church respond to the presence and the participation of disabled people? How do our attitudes, as well as our buildings, exclude disabled people? Or, how are we enriched by being with one another, one in Christ? How can we worship with one another, learn from one another, and share our experience with the wider church?
The day will be led by the Revd Peter Mackriell, Vicar of Kelsall and Director of Studies for Pastoral Workers, drawing on his sabbatical journey to L’Arche Daybreak and his experience as Chaplain with Deaf People in St Asaph Diocese.
