About this Event

Did you know that people often struggle with change? No matter how big or small, us humans can take a while to adapt.

Mum's it is no secret the arrival of your little ones, can be one of those changes. I have had the opportunity to work with many new mum's and they often tell me about sudden peaks in anxiety, worry, low mood and lack of confidence. There are LOTS of amazing stories too, but sometimes they can get hidden by all the other stuff that looking after a little human has to offer.

Perhaps one of the most common contributors I see, is how there seems to be a common belief amongst mums that you 'should' be able to do it all. And because, let's face it, that's impossible, your inner critic is louder than you have heard it in some time (which sparks the anxiety and low mood I mentioned).

I have created this Workshop for you to Learn how to use Self-Compassion techniques to manage negative thinking and really, truly begin to believe that you are good enough, your best is good enough, and perfection isn't a thing.

I have secured a cosy location in Forrest Hill where we can get comfortable and chat all things self-compassion and self-love.

This work-shop is perfect for you if you are struggling with overwhelm, anxiety or feeling like you need a positive shift in your mind-set.

We will be talking all things Self-Compassion (self-love!). I create a safe space for us to come together and learn how you can do more for your wellbeing - it doesn't matter where you are on your journey, everyone is welcome.

We've all heard 'Happiness Starts from Within'. In this workshop we will explore this in more depth.

We will discuss how you can find ways to reduce stress and overwhelm without having to carve out unrealistic time from your day.

Using a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy; I have helped people overcome difficulties and make significant positive changes in their lives.

In particular, this workshop focuses on the concept of self-love. I believe the key to a happier life and overcoming many of our problem is in treating yourself as your very own best friend. To treat yourself with the same respect and kindness you show others, you create a better mind-set, enabling you to take risks, follow dreams, stop comparing yourself. and show up the way YOU want to show up; however that looks for you personally.

During this workshop we will:

- Look at how loving yourself is the not so secret ingredient to a positive outlook and mind-set

- Discuss what maintains overwhem and your inner critic going wild ("do better, be better, try harder, you're not doing it right")

- Talk about self-love and how you can be kinder to yourself on a daily basis - this will give you the boost you need to get out of your comfort zone and be the person that is hiding inside :)

- Have the opportunity to meet other people who are going through similar experiences

This workshop is for you if you feel ready for something new but don't know how to take your first step. This may be overcoming anxiety, meeting new friends, improving relationships or accepting yourself.

I am keeping this as a small group, because I think an intimate group will really help us connect and share.
