Learning with horses
Event Information
Description
A learning with horses for children (and family) with learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD and sensory processing difficulties.
Due to the success of the last series of events working in partnership with National Autistic Society Merton we are offering these days over the February half-term holidays.
This event provides the opportunity to be with horses from the ground (no riding involved). Activities will include grooming, observing and reading non-verbal body language, interacting and building a relationship and connection with them. There will be the opportunity to lead the horses as well if children want to.
The session is facilitated with a Psychologist, who is available for advise to parents, and an Equine Specialist.
Benefits of attending:
• Being around horses is proven to reduce anxiety and stress hormones
• Calming and grounding in a non-judgmental environment
• Develop a relationship and connection with another being
• Improved emotional wellbeing
