An Event for all School Staff or Educational Professionals

If you are new to iPads or have been on an iPad journey for a while, then join us for an evening of exploring the potential that iPads could have in your classroom. These workshops will cover aspects of Continual Professional Development, curriculum specific strategies and approaches, and opportunities to ask educational professionals those 'hard to answer' questions.

This event will be facilitated by a team of International Apple Education Trainers and Apple Distinguished Educators to ensure that participatants will receive the most up-to-date information and training.


Workshops

1. Robots, Drones and Music. Bringing Coding to Life

Description:

Swift Playgrounds offers an exciting new way to code using robots, drones and music. Discover how the combination of Swift Playgrounds app connected to Bluetooth enabled robots, allow pupils to program and control popular devices including Sphero SPRK and Parrot Drones.

Requirements:

  • Bring your own iPad with the latest iOS installed
  • Download Swift Playgrounds app
  • Download Sphero Arcade in the Accessories tab of Swift Playgrounds app

Description:

Get an in depth look at Clips, a new app that makes it quick and fun for anyone to create expressive videos on iPhone and iPad. Learn power tips and tricks for getting the most out of Clips and discover the infinite possibilities for storytelling, assessment, presentations and more.
