Event description

Description

Having spent the last year sorting out my parents' old home while moving my Mum to her new house, so many stories and memories were unearthed. Stories that I wanted to capture and save for the future, if only for their historical interest. My Dad was a collector and keeper of stories and memories - but wouldn't let go of the stuff they were attached to in case something came in useful for a history exhibition at some point in the future (like his old football boots from the 1950s)!

Do you have stories and memories that you want to capture for yourself or for future generations? In this workshop we'll be exploring some of those stories and creating a memoir journal as a legacy, through the art of conversation and interview, using objects and photographs as inspiration and journal making as a means of keeping those stories safe.

Ticket price includes lunch and refreshments. Materials will be provided, however feel free to bring along small objects, photographs and a notebook if you have a special one you would like to use.
