So many portraits of artists’ fathers show them sitting still, wearing dark suits and reading a newspaper. But further research reveals broader aspects of how artists have viewed their parent – not always with filial affection.
Lecturer’s Profile
Our lecturer, Juliet Heslewood, studied History of Art at London University. For thirty years she lived in France where she became a lecturer on art and architecture in the Midi-Pyrenees area and gained a Masters degree in English Literature at Toulouse University.
