About this event

Styles in medieval scripts changed as often as fashion on the catwalk of history. This illustrated talk will trace some of the most significant moments, their social contexts and the scribes and artists responsible.

Michelle Brown is Professor Emerita of Medieval Manuscripts Studies at the University of London (SAS). She was formerly the Curator of Medieval and Illuminated Manuscripts at the British Library.
